Breast Lift After Pregnancy: When Is the Right Time?
T.R.U.E. Hospitals Editorial · 5 May 2026
Many women notice volume loss and nipple droop after pregnancy and breastfeeding. A breast lift (mastopexy) addresses position and shape; it does not by itself restore fullness.
Surgeons often recommend waiting until you are finished having children and breastfeeding, and until weight is stable for several months. That reduces the chance of needing revision soon after surgery.
Scar pattern depends on degree of ptosis — peri-areolar, lollipop, or anchor-style incisions are discussed openly at consultation. The goal is a natural, proportionate result.
Hospital-based surgery with structured follow-up is especially important for breast procedures. Plan help at home for the first few days and garment wear as advised.
